Suitable for riders ages 8 and older, the sleek Ground Force go-kart attains a maximum speed of 12 miles per hour, making it the perfect kart for zipping around flat trails. The Ground Force’s quiet variable-speed, chain-driven motor is powered by two 12-volt batteries, which deliver approximately 45 minutes of drive time per charge. The molded aluminum wheels and solid 4-1/2-inch tires, meanwhile, help the Ground Force run smoothly wherever it goes. And operation is a breeze thanks to the hand-controlled accelerator and hand brake. Other details include a durable steel frame, a shoulder seat belt, and a flag. The Ground Force, which measures 41 by 16 by 29 inches (W x H x D), supports drivers weighing up to 140 pounds and is backed by a 90-day warranty. Some assembly is required, though the tools are included. The Ground Force is designed for controlled environments free of potential traffic hazards and not on public streets. more info

Good stuff
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I just picked this up for my 8 year old boy (his birthday). It was a major hit – solid, fast and fun. This go-kart is an 8 year olds dream come true.
The only thing you really need to know is that it is low to the ground and needs to be on asphalt. I wouldn’t even consider buying this if you don’t live on a dead end street, a cul-de-sac or very near a park, because it is hard for cars to see. Adult supervision is a requirement if there’s any chance of a car coming becuase you child will be having too much fun to pay attention to traffic.
Aside from that, the Kart is worth the price – easy to put together (took 3 minutes), much faster than the electric scooter (stand up variety) that my boy already had – it definately goes 12-15 mph. It’s also very solid. If traffic is not a problem, buy this. Your child will love it (and you’ll be jealous that these didn’t exist when you were a kid).

Wish they had these when I was a kid

I bought this kart for my 8 year old 60 pound daredevil daughter. She loves control and speed. She races the boys on the street on a slalom course and everyone has fun. We have modified the kart slightly. The turning radius was large when we received it. It could barely U-turn on narrow streets. I cut the steering locks off with a hacksaw and file. It now turns with less than a 5 foot radius and is more responsive. Brakes needed adjustment for her small hands. The battery seems ok. She said she’ll never get tired of his toy, even after having it for a month.

Ground Force Go Kart
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I would highly recommend this product. It was very easy to assemble, very durable & my 9 & 10 year old sons love it! (As do all the kids in the neighborhood!) This go kart steers very well, & the battery seems to last a good while before needing to be recharged.

disappointed
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
We were so disappointed with this product. The first order was received very timely, however it was inoperable, thanks to a broken module when it arrived. Quickly replaced, only to be a disppointement on grass and surges of power on concrete. Overall…..a flop.

Pleased

My six year old loves this go-kart. I just wish that it had a better turn ratio. You can only get a quarter of a turn on this. I thank thats a small set back to the product. Other than that we are very satisfied.

Great product!

I bought two of these for my 9 yr olds. They love them! We have had no problems at all with either of them. After charging for 2 hrs they run for over an hour. Happy with my purchase.

Razor Ground Force Electric Go-Kart
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I am sad to say that I am not very happy with this item. It is built well and looks nice, but it will not hold a charge for more than 15 minutes. My son was so happy to get the go-cart on Christmas morning…only to be disappointed every time he tries to take it for a ride. We have the razor pocket rocket for our older son and it is wonderful. The charge lasts a few hours – a much better buy!!!

Good for the price, reasonable durable
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Normally I dont write reviews but this product has inspired me to do so.
The pluses:
Easy to assemble, takes about 30 minutes at most if you are really slow
Faster than you would assume, the 12 mph speed is definitely plenty even for an ADULT
Can run with a 175lb adult no problem on a flat grade
Construction is reasonable durable for the price. The frame is very good but the tires/wheels are a little cheap and i could see them wearing out fairly quickly.
Low center of gravity, impossible to tip/flip, unless you are doing some kind of stunt.
The negatives:
Ground clearance is NOT a lot just a FEW inches so object in the road and quick Grade changes could cause a scrape. One of the lower parts is a drive sprocket so this could be an issue in the long term.
Steering is a little loose and requires a bit of force and the brake is very hard to pull for a child even 10-12 years old.
Unit WILL not drive with any slippery surface, my son drove on the grass in the evening and it immediately started spinning its wheel
Unit is SMALL, even my 10 year seems a bit LONG, and the driver will be sitting almost butterfly style with the legs spread. It is sized more for a 6 year old.
I agree with most reviewers this unit should NOT be for any child under 8 years old without adult supervision, my son is 6 1/2 and he had to be prompted to turn harder and slow down while i was RUNNING along side. I think any 9-10 year old could handle it though with some initial close guidance.
hope this helps.
Will fit in the back of any midsize SUV (honda pilot, explorer, etc

Razor Ground Force Rules !
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a great toy kart for kids ! We found a vacant parking garage and my son can drive as long as he wants. It’s last about one hour per charge , but, he usually tires out before that. The kart is good for training kids for future gas kart racing. Is fast enough for them to experience the fun of speed, but not too fast that they can get hurt badly. There seemd to be two types out there though. One is belt driven one is chain. I’m not sure but I think the chain driven one is better. The belt one may have been breaking too many belts so they went to a chian setup…Not sure though, the reason for the two types.

My two sons, 6 and 8 absolutely love this go-cart. They ride it almost everyday. It is easy for them to handle, goes just fast enought to be exciting, and last for a long time. I would definitely recommend this go-gart!!!!!!!! It is also easy to assemble

Bad turning radius
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My boys (ages 7 and 9)love this go-kart. We have had it about a month and they ride it all the time. My only complaint is the turning radius. They can barely turn around in the road. Most of the time they have to get off and manually pick the front end of the go-kart up and move it.

Excellent option to a Power wheels vehicle!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This Razor Go Kart is the perfect option to a Power Wheels ride on because it is NOT plastic and goes up to 15 mph and the re chargeable battery is excellent. This is my first one, however my friends has 2 of these that are more than a year old. They both hold a full charge and are ridden by boys 11 & 9 yrs and they have yet to tear them up! My daughter wanted a PW something and they run well over $200 and this was under two and no tax and free shipping! We scored. Both our daughters have the coolest toy around. We live in a culde sac and it works out great. I like it beause its close to the ground but has a visibility flag and they ALWAYS wear a helmet! A+++ gift

Great product . . . so far
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased the Razor Ground Force as a Christas gift for my girlfriend’s two boys, ages 7 & 9. They have been absolutely loving it, (and have named it Herbie)! It has plenty of pep and has been running for about an hour on a full charge. We’re hoping that run time continues after more battery use. It’s been taking around four hours to recharge the battery, which is better than the six hours predicted in the literature. I had read reviews that said the steering was stripping on earlier models. It’s apparent that Razor has remedied this problem by redesigning the steering assembly. I don’t think it’d be possible for the newly designed steering to strip. We have noticed that the right rear tire (on the drive wheel) has been wearing down fairly rapidly. But (and this is key) ordering replacement parts from Razor’s Web siteRazor Ground Force Electric Go-Kart seems very simple and affordable. A new wheel is $16. The unit is quite compact but not particularly uncomfortable for even a … ehem … 40-year-old to ride. It fits easily in the back of my girlfriend’s Subaru Wagon (even sideways) for convenient transport to a safe parking lot/race track. At this moment, I can highly recommend the Razor Ground Force!

Great Fun –but exercise care with younder riders!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Just got the Ground Force over the July 4th weekend for 8 year old daughter who had a blast friving it. But she got over-confident and kept taking the curves faster and faster until…she got panicked and banged into the rear of a minivan. Luckly she wasn’t hurt…but she was definitely shaken up. Please exercise care when letting children less than 10 year ride this fast machine.
Razor needs to improve the design of the steeing mechanism. The initial free play (and lacks of steering result) may prompt for too much more muscle input that coult lead to abrupt oversteer. The hand brake position forces the wrist to turn in, rendering the brake almost unsqueezable.
In summary — a super fun toy for older kids that can become much safer with better steering and brake redesign.

NOT USUABLE IN THE YARD
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my grandson to ride in the yard, I would never allow him in the streets with a motorized vehicle. Surprise, it does not run on grass, must have a hard surface. This was not stated in the product info.It says meant for controlled environment not for the street. My driveway is not big enough for him to turn in although it is a double drive, the kart has poor turning ability. So I am disappointed. If any one has solutions to help it run in the grass let me know!!!

Lots of fun for my 8 yr. old boy (not for grass though)
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My son has had a blast with this go-cart. It does great spins and goes at a nice speed. We also have the Red Razor electric scooter and I’d say the speed is pretty close. The go-cart does go a bit faster. It isn’t great on rocky driveways or on grass, so make sure you have sufficient driveway space if you get it. I don’t allow him to drive on the road with it because I am worried about it being rather low and perhaps drivers would not see him. If I’m on my bike or 4 wheeler I’ll ride beside him on our small neighborhood road, but 98% of the time it’s for our patio and driveway.
I’d recommend it for those who can handle steering and wide turn and perceptions for making those turns. Lots of fun. Pretty easy to assemble. Make sure you charge it just like the instructions say. Warn your child before he gets it that he can’t expect to ride it right out of the box. It’s a long 10 hrs. for them otherwise. Good luck and enjoy! By the way, these were about $50 more at stores here in town so I was happy to get it here on amazon.

Was Ok.

I got my GoKart in 2 Days and it came fine. After about a week or two the brakes broke and wouldn’t work at all. We called razor, and for my opionion they had the worst service. I recommend this but if something breaks. Razor won’t have that great of service that you would think

Razor Ground Force
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My two girls have a blast with these, all the other kids in the neighbor hood always want to ride them too. They are fairly fast for 7 and 9, i wouldnt recommend it for anything under 6 yrs of age though. Hand brake takes a little muscle to pull and the steering wheel design is kind of crappy and loose. But overall a good product.
